Press Release – Nov 12, 2019

To get an exclusive peek at the plans for the future Port City loft apartments on November 1, 2019, over 300 attendees from all corners of Glynn County and beyond, gathered at the historic Leotis Building in downtown Brunswick to see the large-scale fine art photography of Benjamin Galland.

The Leotis building hangar, served as the perfect venue to display Galland’s large-format photography, the space courtesy of Port City Partners. The exhibition, entitled, “Georgia has a Coast,” presented by The Art House, now representing Galland’s work, featured the artist’s magnificent aerial photography taken over the last year of Brunswick, St. Simons, Jekyll and Sea Island. A native son of the Golden Isles, Galland has spent the last ten years actively documenting the barrier islands of coastal Georgia; the same time period during which his work has appeared in publications such as Garden and Gun, Southern Living and Coastal Living. Patrons enjoyed the unique opportunity of viewing the exhibition while exploring the architectural gem of a building alongside storyboards and renderings of the loft development soon-to-come.

Founded by Brad Piazza, Port City Partners is a multi-faceted commercial real estate development company headquartered in Brunswick, Georgia.  Brad, together with his wife Lizzie, an art appraiser, advisor, and founder of The Art House, is committed to revitalizing the downtown district by rehabilitating properties of historical significance. The Leotis building project has created a buzz and news circulating around town of the luxury lofts in Brunswick; available mid-2021.

“Georgia has a Coast,” will be open select times throughout the month of November and by appointment only.  Please join us on November 15th for a fall gallery walk from 5-7 pm and November 16th from 10-5 pm during Moxie Craft Fest.
